Coding for Kids: Scratch & Game-Based Coding (Ages 7–12)
Your child builds real games and animations from the first session, and picks up the logic behind all programming along the way. Taught 1-on-1, live, by the same teacher every week.
- Learn by building games, stories and animations in Scratch
- Loops, conditions, variables and debugging: the foundations of every language
- A clear path from blocks to Python when your child is ready
- Progress updates for parents on WhatsApp
What your child will learn
What we cover
Thinking in steps
Sequencing, events and simple loops, through projects kids actually want to make.
Making games
Sprites, scoring, levels and collisions. Every concept is tied to a game they can share.
Logic and debugging
Conditions, variables and how to find and fix their own mistakes calmly.
Bridge to Python
When blocks start to feel limiting, the same ideas are carried over into typed code.

Questions parents ask
Coding for Kids: FAQs
What age should a child start learning to code?
Most children are ready for block-based coding like Scratch from about age 7, once they can read short instructions comfortably. Scratch is designed for ages 8–16, and with 1-on-1 support younger children do well too.
Is Scratch real coding?
Yes. Scratch uses blocks instead of typed text, but the ideas are the same as in any programming language: sequences, loops, conditions, variables and events. Children who learn these well in Scratch usually move to Python much faster.
When should my child move from Scratch to Python?
When they can build their own Scratch projects using variables, loops and conditions without help, and they type comfortably. For many children that is around age 10–12. The assessment session is a good time to decide.
Does my child need any software?
Only a laptop or desktop with a web browser and a stable internet connection. Scratch runs free in the browser. A tablet is not ideal for coding sessions.
